Srinagar  5th March 2018) (KNO) : Shupian massacre by Indian colonial forces has once again demonstrated the brutal face of Indian democracy in Kashmir.RSS backed PDP regime along with all pro-India politicians and political parties are directly responsible for this massacre. Asks people to march towards Shupian on 7th march 2018 and pay homage to martyrs and also observe complete shutdown against shifting of Kashmiri inmates from Srinagar to Jammu.

This was stated by the joint resistance leadership comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint press statement issued today. Meanwhile led by JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, JRL leaders and activists today staged a protest against Shupian massacre at Lal Chowk during which police arrested Yasin Malik along with many others. It is worth to mention that veteran ailing leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani continues to remain under house detention while as Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq along with Muhammad Ashaf Sehrai, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Bilal Ahmad Sideeqi has been placed under house arrest from yesterday. Police has also arrested Umar Adil Dar and many others and locked them at various police stations.

JRL leaders and activists today managed to reach Maisuma from where they marched towards Lal chowk. Led by Muhammad Yasin Malik, JRL leaders and activists along with scores of men, women and youth marched towards Lal chowk. Police tried to stop marching protesters but they changed their way and after crossing the bund managed to reach Budshah Bridge and then Budshah Chowk where police and forces using brutal might dispersed them and arrested JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Muhammad Sideeq Hazari, Suhail Ahmad War and Farooq Ahmad Sheikh. Later on JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and Ghulam Muhammad Dar has been shifted to central jail Srinagar till 10th March 2018, on a judicial remand.

Terming yesterday’s massacre at Shupian by Indian colonial forces in which six Kashmiris got martyred and scores are injured, as another example of brutal Indian aggression, JRL leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement have said that Indian trigger happy forces and police are deployed to kill Kashmiris and pro-India politicians and political parties especially RSS backed Mehbooba regime is deployed to provide a legal cover to these killers. JRL leaders said that pro-India politicians and rulers are directly responsible for these massacres and will have to answer for their crimes in accordance with the law of retribution. JRL leaders said that Kashmir has been turned into a slaughter house where the lives of young and old, men, women and children are target of Indian bullets. Though this genocide is going on from last many decades but the way Indian soldiers at the behest of their political masters have expedited this killing spree has turned the situation seriously horrible, said JRL. Terming the statements of pro-India rulers and politicians and announcements of so-called probes as mere eye wash, JRL said that the staying of the probe against the army major openly involved in killing of three civilians in Shopian by the Supreme Court of India, despite an FIR being lodged against him in name by the police, is a travesty of justice. Not that people of Kashmir from their experience have any hope of justice being delivered to the civilians mostly youth, killed in cold blood by armed forces. What is more shocking and deceitful in this case is that the counsel for J&k so-called government told the court that the name of the accused major, Aditya Kumar, does not feature in the FIR, while they all along were beating the drum that the accused in the case has been identified and named and definitely justice will be done.JRL said these spineless collaborators think that people can be taken for a ride by their false promises and antics of empathy and sympathy with them ,where as people  fully well know that the promises made by these Collaborators have no value, and their only aim is to stay on the chair at any cost to the people of Kashmir.

Leaders said that Indian forces and army soldiers have turned into blood sucking vampires for Kashmiris these gruesome crimes committed by Indian armed men is the consequence of the immunity provided to them by pro-India Kashmiri politicians, assembly, parliament and Panchayat members ,their parties who legislate and implement laws like AFSPA to shelter these criminals and their crimes. JRL leaders said that Kashmiris cannot be cowed down by criminal acts of Indian colonist forces and our resistance struggle will continue at every cost. Calling for Shupian Chalo on Wednesday 07th March 2018 to participate in congregational prayers meeting for Shupian martyrs, JRL leaders said that already a protest strike call has been given for the same day against shifting of Kashmiri inmates especially Lifers and under-trials from Srinagar Central jail to Jammu jails and inflicting harm to them. JRL leaders and activists and constituents along with people will march towards Shupian to pay homage to innocent martyrs. JRL leaders also appealed people to observe complete shutdown on 07th March 2018, Wednesday, in support of Kashmiri Prisoners as announced earlier

Meanwhile JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who led a joint JRL protest rally against Shupian Killings at Lal chowk today and was arrested by police has been now shifted to central jail Srinagar on a 6 day judicial remand. Prior to arrest, JKLF chairman while speaking to media on the occasion said that on one hand Indian soldiers slaughter Kashmiris with impunity and on the other hand so-called rulers and politicians issue ridiculous statements ,announce so-called  probes in a bid to divert attention from these inhuman crimes. Yasin Malik said that Indian rulers and their Kashmiri stooges have accelerate the killings of Kashmiris to defeat Kashmiri resistance against illegal Indian occupation but these tyrants should know that harsh measures and military might never succeed in defeating people resolve. He said that Kashmiris have been facing Indian brazenness from last many decades and despite oppression this resistance will continue till the achievement of the sacred goal.(KNO)
